Diversified Tree Company LLC is an owner-operated, Black-owned, family-focused arborist team working out of a yard on Paris Avenue in south Grand Rapids. We've been at it for more than ten years, with behind the saws. Dorr sits south of the metro, and the tree work there tends to split in two directions. The office keeps standard business hours, but the phone is open 24 hours, Monday through Sunday. Storm response is a core service here, not an upsell — when a limb is sitting on your roof at two in the morning, somebody picks up. From the Paris Ave SE yard most of the metro is inside 20 minutes in normal conditions, and estimate requests get a response within one business day.

Permits, insurance and what happens to the stump
Three things come up on nearly every Dorr estimate. First, permits: private property trees generally don't need one, but street trees in the right-of-way do, and we check that as part of the estimate instead of leaving it to you. Second, the wood: we'll buck the trunk to firewood length and stack it where you want at no extra charge, or haul it off. Third, the stump: a standard removal leaves a low stump, and grinding is the popular add-on — we go 6 to 12 inches below grade, deeper on request, and backfill with the chips.
