Jason climbs the trees nobody else wants to touch
Diversified Tree Company LLC is an owner-operated, Black-owned, family-focused arborist team working out of a yard on Paris Avenue in south Grand Rapids. Jason Lewis runs the crew himself — he's the one who walks your yard, gives you the number, and is usually the one in the tree. For over a decade, with this crew has handled the jobs that make homeowners nervous: storm-torn oaks leaning over rooflines, century maples that have outgrown the lot they were planted on.
Jenison sits west of the Grand River, and the older neighborhoods off Baldwin and Port Sheldon are full of maples and oaks planted when the subdivisions went in. Those trees are now big enough that a single split union or a dead leader over a garage becomes a real problem. Between Jenison's subdivision lots and the open ground out toward 28th Avenue, we plan every removal the same way — access, rigging points, and where the wood lands get sorted before anyone makes a cut.
Jenison is a short run for us. From the Paris Ave SE yard, most of the metro is within 20 minutes in normal conditions, which matters at two in the morning when a limb is resting on your shingles. We also work Grandville, Hudsonville, Wyoming and Jenison's other neighbors across the river.

- Stump Grinding — we grind 6–12 inches below grade, haul the chips or backfill with them, and leave the spot replant-ready.
- Emergency Tree Service — storm response for fallen trees, blocked driveways and roof-threatening limbs, with insurance-claim documentation.
- Lot Clearing — full-lot or partial clearing for construction, expansion or overgrowth. Brush, trees and debris responsibly disposed of.
- Bracing & Cabling — structural support systems that preserve split-prone trees instead of removing them.
- Firewood — seasoned hardwood, pickup at the Paris Ave yard or delivered. Call for current stock and pricing.
- Snow Plowing — seasonal residential and commercial plowing for driveways, lots and walkways.
- Curbside Leaf Pickup — rake to the curb in loose piles and we collect and haul it away.

The hours are Monday through Sunday, open 24 hours, and that isn't a marketing line — storm response is a core service here, not an upsell. When a cell comes through Ottawa County and something comes down across your driveway, the phone gets answered.
