People land on this page for a few reasons. Some are snowbirds who kept a place in Florida or Arizona and want the same crew handling both. Some just moved here. And some are looking at a spiky, fan-shaped thing in the yard and assuming it's a palm. We'd rather tell you the truth than sell you something we don't do.
Palm trees don't grow in West Michigan
Palms are tropical and subtropical trees. Grand Rapids sits in a climate that regularly drops below zero, and a palm's growing point can't survive that. You will not find a mature, established palm growing outdoors anywhere in Kent County. So Diversified Tree Company LLC does not offer palm tree trimming or palm removal — not as a seasonal add-on, not on request. It isn't a service anyone here can honestly sell you.
If you have a potted palm that summers on the patio, that's a houseplant question, not an arborist job. If what you're looking at has a shaggy trunk and spiky, sword-like leaves, it's most likely a yucca or a hardy windmill-type ornamental — and those are handled by a landscaper, not a tree crew with a bucket truck and rigging gear.
What we do have in this part of Michigan is oak, maple, ash, spruce, willow, locust and cottonwood — big, heavy, old trees planted close to houses in the 1950s and 60s. Those are the ones that split at a weak union, drop a limb through a porch roof, or lean a little further every spring. That's the work Jason Lewis and his crew have been doing for over a decade.

- Lot Clearing — full or partial clearing for construction, expansion or overgrowth, with responsible debris disposal.
- Bracing & Cabling — structural support that preserves a valuable, split-prone tree instead of removing it.
- Firewood — seasoned hardwood, picked up at our Paris Ave yard or delivered. Call for current stock and pricing.
- Snow Plowing — seasonal residential and commercial plowing for driveways, lots and walkways.
- Curbside Leaf Pickup — rake it to the curb in loose piles and we collect and haul it away.

From the Paris Ave SE yard to your driveway
Our yard is on Paris Avenue in south Grand Rapids, which puts most of the metro within about 20 minutes in normal conditions.
